The Infectious Diseases Society of America seeks candidates to serve in the position of editor-in-chief of Open Forum Infectious Diseases.  The founding editor-in-chief of the journal, Paul Sax, MD, FIDSA, recently departed for a new role as editor-in-chief of IDSA's journal Clinical Infectious Diseases .   Founded in 2014, OFID publishes clinical, translational and basic research in a fully open access, online journal. It focuses on the intersection of biomedical science and clinical practice, with an emphasis on knowledge that could improve patient care globally. IDSA is seeking applications from clinically active infectious diseases physician scholars with broad knowledge of the field of infectious diseases and expertise in current scientific methodology to guide OFID's advancement over the next 5–10 years.
